How much does an electrician cost?

It depends on what's wrong and how long it takes to find. You get the price before we start.

What affects the price?

  • What's wrong
  • How long it takes to find
  • Parts, like a socket or breaker
  • An extra circuit or new cable

Price up front. Always. What we agree is what you pay. No surprises on the invoice.

What we do when the power's out

  • Check the circuits
  • Test the breaker
  • Trace the short
  • Rule out appliances
  • Repair or replace
  • Left safe

We find the cause, not just reset the breaker.

Common questions

How soon can you get here?

For a power fault, today, seven days a week. For custom work like an extra circuit, within a week, on a day that suits you.

How much does an electrician cost?

One fixed price, agreed up front. We tell you what's wrong and what it costs before we start. What we agree is what you pay.

My breaker keeps tripping. What do I do?

Unplug everything on that breaker and switch it back on. If it stays on, an appliance is the problem. If it trips again, the fault is in the wiring, and we'll find it.

Is it just me or the whole street?

Check the neighbours and the street lights. Whole street dark? That's a grid fault, one for the network operator. Neighbours have power? The problem is in your home, and that's where we come in.

Why does my breaker trip when I turn on the washing machine?

Too many big appliances on one circuit, or a faulty one. The electrician tests it, then spreads the load or adds a circuit.

I can smell burning from a socket. What do I do?

Switch that circuit off at the fuse box and stop using the socket. Call us and we'll be there today. If you see smoke or fire, call 112.

Do you do custom work?

Yes, for homes and businesses. Extra sockets and circuits, indoor and outdoor lighting, switches and dimmers, and new breakers.

How do I pay?

On the spot by card or QR code. We'll email you the invoice.
